The Day After Thanksgiving aka Black Friday

Were you up at 3 am to get in line? As much as I love shopping, I love my sleep too much. Growing up, I didn’t have a clue about Black Friday. I probably learned about it within the past 10 years. Amazingly, though, Black Friday has been happening since the late 19th century! It was the kick-off to the Christmas holiday shopping season.

Every year, the time seems to get pushed earlier and earlier. Some stores opened yesterday at 5 pm! Weren’t people supposed to be eating Thanksgiving dinner at that time? The deals, though, are pretty amazing. I would even call some of them “door buster deals.”

I cannot stand crowds and a messy store, so this is definitely not my thing. I was almost tempted, though, because some of the deals on televisions were pretty amazing. However, I just can’t bring myself to participate in any Black Friday shopping – even if they were giving it away for free.

Did you do some Black Friday shopping? What did you end up getting or what deal really enticed you to go shopping?
