Yes, it’s true! The Listen To Your Mother Show is coming to Boston!!! This spring, Boston will give a microphone to Mother’s Day through YOU!
I was so privileged and honored to be a part of the 2013 LTYM Providence cast and now I am thrilled to be a part of the team that will be bringing this to Boston. It was a life changing moment for me when I spoke at LTYM Providence. I hope Boston will be the same for all of you – whether you are there as part of the audience or there sharing your story on stage.
I know that there are so many beautiful stories out there about motherhood, our moms, the journeys to motherhood or the desire to be one, losses and pains, joys and laughter – all in honor of Mother’s Day. We can’t wait to showcase Boston’s unique and wonderful voice at this show and I hope you will consider being a part of it.
I’m also really excited to be working with some awesome friends – Jessica from Don’t Mind The Mess and the 2013 LTYM Providence show (that’s where we met and realized that we are practically neighbors!) and the super woman behind Busy Since Birth – Cheryl! Both these women are so inspiring, quite lovely, and are amazing moms. I’ve enjoyed getting to know them through blogging and in person.
So many thanks go out to the inaugural Providence cast from last year – I am truly a better woman and mother because of them. I especially am grateful for the producers of the show (Carla – who will be producing LTYM Providence again this year – and Laura – PR extraordinaire) who listened to my story, cried with me, laughed with me, and gave me a life changing and powerful opportunity to share my story on stage.
I owe a lot of this to my mom – she always believed that I would end up talking in front of people one day and allowed me the space to embrace it, explore it, and actually do it. I still remember the days of my dad taking me to Toastmaster’s meetings as a kid and having me speak in front of them. She clearly saw something in me as a kid that I didn’t even realize was there. Moms can be pretty cool like that.
Whoever you are, I bet you have a story to share for Mother’s Day.
For now, I leave you with the LTYM Show 32 cities announcement (so if you’re not in Boston, I bet you can find one near you!):
